Imagine that you have a smart kid who asks you this brilliant question: Dad, why do we have to go to school for fifteen years before we can get a college degree? Why cant I go directly to the final year in college and learn what they teach there, take the exam, and if I pass, Ill get my degree right away? Why do I have to wait for so long, Dad?
Brilliant kid, huh? Answer, smart Dad!
Well, you might have some answers to your kids question, but here is an important truth for you:
When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.

That is an important life lesson and the guiding principle to your personal growth.
Knowledge is power, but APPLIED knowledge is your catalyst to ultimate success. Applied knowledge is what makes you ready for your next advanced lesson.
Dont ever think that you can master advanced lessons before you master the basics.
It is not enough to just read and listen to tons of books and tapes. The most important thing, the thing that makes all the difference, is to apply what you learn. When you apply what you learn and get the expected results, then youve passed the test and are ready for the next advanced lesson.
That principle was an eye opener for me. I used to read a lot of books and attend a lot of seminars in success and personal growth. The information I learned was good, but my life CHANGED only when I started to put my new knowledge into action.
I hear from so many of my clients that they read piles of books and attend one seminar after another by leading experts in success and personal growth, but they dont see any improvement in their lives. They are still struggling, and dont understand why.
The simple answer is that they dont apply what they learn. And unless they do, they will never be ready for the advanced lessons that can take their success in life to the next level.
The bottom line here is that you MUST be ready. As long as you still have lessons to digest, dont complain that you cant move forward in your life. Dont complain that youre stuck and struggling.
Just continue to learn and apply the lessons that present themselves, and when the right moment comes you will be given a new lesson that will provide you with the breakthrough to success that you long for.

Remember, APPLIED knowledge is your catalyst to ultimate success, and what makes you ready for the next lesson. As long as you have knowledge that you havent applied in your life, then you still have room for improvement.
When you pass the final test of your current stage in life, you will be ready for your next advanced lesson.
Get ready first. Be a sponge. Understand and APPLY what you learn. Commit yourself to continuous, never-ending improvement.
