Jupiter, Florida

Jupiter is a large town of approximately 40,000. Originally Jupiter was named for the local Hobe Indian tribe, but through a series of mis-translations, Hobe, Florida came to be called Jupiter; hence, Jupiter is most notably associated with the Roman God by the same name, the God of light, sky, and weather, and the welfare of the State. Appropriate, considering the good life in this pleasing year-round tropical locale is known for its fair beaches.

Jupiter is distinct in that it is large enough to offer plenty of diversity and entertainment, yet small enough to escape the congestion and confines of a large city. Among Jupiters many attractions and services are:

* Roger Dean Stadium Complex—shared by the Florida Marlins and St. Louis Cardinals for spring training, and by two area Class A Minor League Baseball teams, the Jupiter Hammerheads and the Palm Beach Cardinals
