Former Americas Got Talent contestant Julienne Irwin is proud and happy to have fulfilled her lifelong dream, which she has aspired way before her stint on the reality shows season 2. The 14-year-old singer hailing from Bel Air, Maryland had always wanted to sing the national anthem at a Baltimore Orioles game, as she was a huge baseball fan. Finally, the former contestant of NBCs Americas Got Talent was able to showcase her singing prowess at the Orioles-Red Sox match on Sunday, September 9.

At an early age, she began to enjoy watching baseball with her father. A few years later, the father-daughter tandem flew around to see various Orioles games held in historical baseball stadiums.

Director of public relations for the Orioles, Monica Pence found out about the young girls dream while watching an episode of Americas Got Talent.

We saw the show and we wanted to help her fulfill her dream, Pence explained. We were happy to do that… Its a neat story to have someone locally do so well.

Irwin made her mark on the reality show, placing 4th after performing her rendition of hit songs such as How Do I Live by LeAnn Rimes and Over the Rainbow by Judy Garland. Nonetheless, fans believe that her most memorable performance was at the baseball game.

However, before her performance, Irvin was caught up and awe-struck as she momentarily engaged in a conversation with Orioles starter Melvin Mora. Her aura changed as her time to perform came, and she exhibited poise and maturity, just as she did during her Americas Got Talent performances.

That song is hard to do, said Irvin, who was clad in an Orioles jersey with her last name on the back. I was worried about forgetting the words.

Marcia Irvin, her mother who was accompanied by a group of family and friends, nervously watcher her daughter perform from a skybox.

There was a knot in my stomach the size of a football, Marcia explained. Shes talked about this since she was 5 years old.

A close family friend added that the performance was awesome, natural, and a dream come true for the young singer.
